By contracting our services you are indicating that you have read and approved our Terms and Conditions, and that you are both authorized and agree to contract for services with LiNKS Sign Language & Interpreting Services (LiNKS) under the provisions of these terms.
Services: LiNKS will perform services in the form of Sign Language Interpreting Services, Spoken Language Interpreting Services, and/or Document Translation Services.
Commencement: LiNKS will perform said services on an independent basis, there being no employment arrangement or relationship with the Customer other than the assignment request. LiNKS shall be under the guidance of the Customer as to the results to be accomplished. LiNKS shall have exclusive control over the manner by which such results are accomplished.
Performance: The Customer will prepare and furnish to LiNKS, upon request, such information as is reasonably necessary to complete the assignment.
Disclaimer: LiNKS makes no representation about service, including but not limited to the accuracy or completeness of any interpretation or translation assignment. LiNKS does not guarantee the availability of interpreters or their suitability for a particular assignment or purpose.
Terms: An authorized representative of the Customer will sign off on the Interpreter’s work order at the end of each assignment. Payment terms are prepaid (Visa/MasterCard) or net terms. Net terms may be granted upon completion and approval of LiNKS credit application and are subject to our standard credit terms and conditions.
Pricing: Final prices may vary due to the complexity and scope of assignment.
Interpreter Sub-Contractors: LiNKS subcontracts all assignments to independent contractors. All services provided by said interpreters are subject to limits of liabilities set forth in these Terms & Conditions.
Minimum Charge: There is a two hour minimumcharge for all services with 30 minute billing increments thereafter. Assignments in excess of 2 hours may require the teaming of two contract interpreters. If a team is unavailable, assignments may be billed at a rate equivalent to two interpreters. Rates apply from the requested arrival time and continue through the duration of the assignment.
Videotaping: All requests for videotaping of work performed must be approved in writing in advance of assignment.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be received and confirmed in writing at least 48 business hours prior to scheduled assignment time. Note: Customer will be billed for the total pre-arranged time if a 48 hour in advance notice is not received and confirmed by LiNK’s Staff.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed from these terms with respect to the matter in question, and the remainder of the terms shall remain in full force and effect.
Governing Law: The construction, interpretation, and performance of these terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Amendments: Any supplements, modifications, or waivers of any provision of these Terms and Conditions must be in writing and signed by a LiNKS authorized representative.
Hold Harmless/Indemnification: Customer agrees to defend and indemnify LiNKS, its affiliates, or independent contractors, and to hold them harmless from any claim or action whatsoever arising from the use of LiNK’s Services.
